DUSHANBE, October 9, 2008, Asia-Plus -- On Tuesday October 7, the Tajik Embassy in Beijing summed up the results of the contest on the best knowledge of history of Tajik-Chinese relationships that was announced by the Embassy on April 29, 2008.
According to the Tajik Embassy in Beijing, some 30 people participated in the contest, offering their answers to 15 questions and writing short essays on given topics.
Ms. Manizha Sayfulloyeva, student with Beijing University, and Ms. Firouza Ghaniyeva, student at Tajik Technological University, were recognized as the winners of the competition.
Tajik Ambassador to China, Rashid Alimov, handed prize to Manizha Sayfulloyeva before an audience.
"Interest in the history of the Tajik-Chinese relations, status and prospects of cooperation between the two neighboring countries is growing from year to year. Due to wise and far-sighted policy of the presidents of Tajikistan and China, bilateral relations have entered a qualitatively new level over the years,” said Rashid Alimov in his congratulatory speech.
According to him, the number of Tajik students studying in China has increased 12 times over the past 15 year.
