DUSHANBE, November 20, 2008 Asia-Plus  -- Jamshed Yusuopov, the deputy head of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), will attend a roundtable meeting entitled “Financial Stability in Changing World” that will be held in Yerevan, Armenia on November 21.

According to Tajik central bank, the meeting is held on sidelines of celebrations to mark the 15th anniversary of introduction of the Armenian national currency – the Dram – into circulation that are held in the Armenian capital on November 21-22.  

The meeting participants include Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Murilo Portugal, IMF Executive Director Age Bakker, as well as senior representatives of national banks of Albania, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Serbia, Georgia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Bulgaria, Greece, Montenegro, and the Netherlands.

The meeting aims to consider issues related to role of national banks in maintaining the stability of the overall financial system in a rapidly changing world.
