KHOROG, November 21, 2008, Asia-Plus -- A training workshop for teacher trainers from Afghan province of Badakhshan concluded in Khorog, the capital of Gorno Badakhshan on November 19.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Ms. Sadbarg Mirova, the chairperson of the primary education department within the GBAO Institute for Improvement of Professional Education, said the workshop had been organized by the Institute in cooperation with education Program of the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Afghanistan.
Together with representatives of the AKF Afghanistan 27 teacher trainers from schools in Ishkashim, Zebok and Vakhan vulusvoli (lowest administration division in Afghanistan) and 8 trainers with the Education Program of the AKF Afghanistan participated in the seminar.
The seminar participants considered issues related to mentoring basics, Mirova said, adding that similar workshops would be conducted in Nusai from November 24-27 and in Afghan Shugnan vulusvoli from December 1-4.
