DUSHANBE, December 5, 2008, Asia-Plus -- Local authorities of GBAO’s Roshtqala district have provided support to local youth studying at universities under presidential quota ahead of the Idi Qubon (Festival of Sacrifice), which is marked this year on December 8.
Jamoliddin Nourov, an employee with the information analysis department of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs, the deputy head of the Roshtqala district, Shavkat Rahimov, yesterday handed over money to 46 Roshtqala students studying under presidential quota. “They received 50 somoni each,” Nourov said.
We will recall that 1,000 people have entered Tajik universities this year under presidential quota and more than 5,000 students currently study at local universities under presidential quota.
