KULOB, December 15, 2008, Asia-Plus -- According to the Kulob police directorate, 57 sub-machine-guns Kalashnikov have been confiscated from the population in Khatlon’s Kulob region by December 13, the Kulob police deputy chief, Lieutenant-Colonel Abdurahmon Buzmakov, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
Besides, 15 grenade launchers, four machine-guns Kalashnikov, 24 pistols Makarov, two pistols TT, 5 carbines, 48 rifles TOZ-8, 38 hunting guns, one flame-thrower, 29 hand grenades, and 5000 bullets of different caliber have been confiscated from the Kulob population this year.
