DUSHANBE, December 25, 2008, Asia-Plus  -- 105 Tajik labor migrants have been deported from Kazakhstan in January-November this year, Kazakhstan’s newspaper Vecherny Almaty reported yesterday referring to Marat Kezembayev, the chief of the migration police department within the Almaty police directorate.

A number of raids have been organized in Kazakhstan over the report period to ensure maintenance of public order and 2,281 foreign citizens, including 1,437 nationals of Uzbekistan, 123 citizens of Kyrgyzstan, 105 Tajik nationals, as well as 183 Chinese citizens and 98 Turkish citizens, have been deported from the country.

They were punished for failing to meet legal requirements of staying in Kazakhstan, the newspaper said.
