KHUJAND, December 26, 2008, Asia-Plus  -- Two new cement plants introduced into operation in the Sughd province – the limited liability company Cement Plant in Isfara and the limited liability company Ehson in the Bobojonghafurov district – have produced the first 3,219 tons of cement, the Sughd energy and industries department head Sodiq Rustamov said.  

            According to him, the Sughd province has produced a total of 1.0061 billion somoni worth of industrial goods this year.  Compared to 2007 the index of the volume of production of industrial goods amounted to 103.9 percent.
