KULOB, December 29, 2008, Asia-Plus -- In 2008, the law enforcement authorities have confiscated 18 sub-machine-guns Kalashnikov from the population in the Khatlon’s Kulob district, Sharif Shamsov, an aide to the Kulob police department chief, told Asia-Plus today.
Besides, 10 pistols, six grenade launchers, 18 hand grenades, 17 hunting guns and some 2,000 bullets of different caliber have been confiscated from the Kulob population this year.
This year, Kulob law enforcement authorities have also seized 5.5183 kilograms of drugs, the aid said.
