DUSHANBE, December 30, 2008, Asia-Plus -- On occasion of its 50th anniversary, the Tajik Journalists’ Union (TJU) has announced the competition “The Golden Pen” among journalists from print and electronic media.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the TJU executive secretary Poulod Nourov said that only members of the Tajik Journalists’ Union may participate in the competition.
“Informational materials on the subjects such as economic, society, politics, sports and tourism, culture, health care, environmental protection, history, journalism as well as social and political journalism that have not yet been published in any media will be considered by the contest jury from January 2009 to November 2009,” the executive secretary said, noting that awarding ceremony for the winners of the competition will be held during celebrations to mark the TJU jubilee.
