KULOB, January 8, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, head of Agroinvestbonk’s branch in Kulob Sayfiddin Qadamov said that their bank intended to install two other automated teller machines (ATMs) in the Farkhor and Vose districts this year.
According to him, the number of credit card holders is increasing in Khatlon’s Kulob region from month to month. ATMs have demonstrated their value in practice because they provide customers a secure method of performing financial transactions in a public space without need for a human clerk or bank teller, he said.
“Agroinvestbonk’s branches in the Kulob region, except the Baljuvon one, now have POS terminal devices,” Qadamov said.
Founded in 1992, Agroinvestbonk, with headquarters in Dushanbe, has main branches in Khorog, Khujand, Kulob and Qurghon Teppa and 61 other branches across the republic.
