DUSHANBE, January 9, 2009, Asia-Plus -- The Czech Republic intends to organize a traveling exhibition in Tajikistan in the second half of this year.
This and other issues related to bilateral economic cooperation between Tajikistan and the Czech Republic were discussed here yesterday at a meeting of deputy head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Asanali Karamaliyev with Petr Šáda, First Secretary, Commercial Section, Czech Embassy in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
According to the CCI press service, Karamaliyev expressed readiness to provide assistance with organization of the exhibition.
During the meeting, the two outlined sectors like industry and tourism as areas of which could drive the bilateral trade between the two countries. Karamaliyev noted that a number of Tajik enterprises such as joint-stock companies Nafisa and Tekstil (Textile) as well as confectionery Shirin that used Czech equipment were interested in establishment of cooperation with Czech companies on supply and modernization of equipment.
