DUSHANBE, January 9, 2009, Asia-Plus -- The enterprise, Power Lines of the Rasht Valley, has completed rehabilitation of the substation Khufak in the Nourobod district, some 100 kilometers to the east of Dushanbe. Nearly 30,000 somoni have been spent for rehabilitation of the substation.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the head of Power Lines of the Rasht Valley Nazrikhouja Mirzoyev said that Khufak was one of the largest substations in the region and reintroduction of it into operation would allow improving electricity supplies to local population and agricultural enterprises.
According to him, residential consumers in Nourobod now have electricity 6-8 hours per day while strategic sites such as hospitals and some other facilities receive electrical power regularly.
