KULOB, January 12, 2009, Asia-Plus -- An official opening of two new primary schools has been held in Khatlon’s Vose district today morning.
According the Vose education department, the schools were built in the villages of Shar-Shar and Kuduk due to funds provided from the local budget.
Opening of these schools has brought the total number of educational facilities in the district to 72.
72 schools, including 69 general schools, two boarding schools and one lyceum, with totaling more than 40,000 pupils currently function in Vose.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education (MoE) has provided funds for construction of a new school to accommodate 175 pupils in Vose this year.
