KHUJAND, January 14, 2009, Asia-Plus -- A job vacancy fair was held in Khujand, the capital of the Sughd province on January 13.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Aburayhon Abdurazzoqov, a chief specialist with the branch of the Agency for Social Protection, Employment, and Migration for Sughd, said that 68 enterprises and organizations from Khujand, Taboshar, Gahfurov, Chkalovs, as well as Jabborrasulov and Spitamen districts had participated at the fair.
“In all, they offered 2,010 jobs with an average monthly wage from 60 to 1,000 somoni,” said Abdurazzoqov, “14,806 residents of the province have been officially registered as unemployed to this date.”
