DUSHANBE, January 15, 2008, Asia-Plus -- Speaking at a press conference in Dushanbe on January 15, head of Tajikistan’s savings bank, Amonatbonk, Mahmadamin Mahmadaminov said that as of December 31, 2008, assets in Amonatbonk’s deposits have amounted to 281 million somoni, which was 54 percent more than in 2007.
According to him, the bank currently has 5 regional and 70 city and district branches as well as 502 outlets across the country, offering services to more than two million clients.
In 2008, Amonatbonk provided 259.6 million somoni in loans to 26,,592 clients. As of January 1, 2009 remaining loan debt has amounted to 230.8 million somoni.
