ISFARA, January 22, 2009, Asia-Plus -- In 2008, the railway station, Isfara, shipped more than 36,000 tons of dried fruits to the Russian Federation.
The Isfara railway station director Abduvahhob Mizomov said that in all, the station shipped 81,455 tons of various economic cargo, including more than 4,000 tons of goods of the Isfara cannery, to Russian cities last year.
Over the report period, the station received 33,360 tons of cargo that included products necessary for the Isfara population and enterprises, according to him.
More than 30 people currently work for the isfara railway station at an average monthly wage of 450 somoni, Mizomov said.
