DUSHANBE, January 4, 2009, Asia-Plus - In 2008, 460 million US dollars were remitted to open-joint-stock company (OJSC), Eskhata Bank, which is 160 million dollars, or 57 percent, more than in 2007, according to press release issued by the bank. 300 million US dollars were remitted to the bank in 2007.
Eskhata Bank’s equity rose 76.3 percent in the year to December 31, 2008, reaching 50 million somoni.
The bank’s assets rose 76.6 percent over the report period and amounted to 262 million somoni, while it net profit rose 39.7 percent in the year to December 31, 2008, reaching 9.301 million somoni. As of January 1, 2008, Eskhata Bank’s net profit amounted to 6.656 million, press release said.
Established in November 1993, a privately owned Eskhata Bank, with headquarters in Khujand, has its branches in various regions of the country. The bank got operating license in 1994.
