DUSHANBE, February 13, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Leader of the Social-Democratic Party (SDPT) calls on the president to hold a meeting with leaders of all political parties officially functioning in the country.
The SDPT leader Rahmatillo Zoirov told a press conference in Dushanbe on February 13 that President Emomali Rahmon has not yet held meetings with political party leaders and media editors while the present serious political and socioeconomic situation in the country requires such meetings.
According to him, at least four dialogues should be held with participation of the president. “The first meeting with political party leaders should discuss issues related to democratization of Tajik society, the second dialogue should be dedicated to the problems of economic reforms in Tajikistan, the third one should consider development of civil society in the country and the fourth meeting should be held with participation of political party leaders and media heads,” Zoirov said.
