DUSHANBE, February 16, 2009, Asia-Plus  -- Deputy Prime Minister, Ms. Ruqiya Qurbonova, and Education Minister, Mr. Abdujabbor Rahmonov, last week visited a number of general schools in Dushanbe and districts subordinate to the center (RRPs).

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Noilsho Nouraliyev, a spokesman for the ministry of education (MoE), said that they were dissatisfied with the level of knowledge of senior students at Presidential Lyceum in Dushanbe.  The lyceum administration was charged to prepare a plan of actions to remove existing shortcomings.

Deputy prime minister and education minister were also dissatisfied with the level of knowledge of students at Tajik-Turkish lyceums and International School in Dushanbe.  They, in particular, noted the despite all favorable conditions created at those educational facilities for studying, the level of knowledge of their students left much to be desires, the spokesman said.

Qurbonova and Rahmonov also inspected schools ## 42, 43, 46, 108 and 11 in the Roudaki district and disciplinary actions were introduced against a number of school principals in the district.
