KHUJAND, February 23, 2009, Asia-Plus -- A Tajik-Russian joint venture, limited liability company Toboni Sughd, will be established in the Tajik northern city of Taboshar.
According to the Taboshar mayor’s office, Tajik State Unity Enterprise, The Zarya Vostoka Plant, and Russia’s Federal State Enterprise, The Perm Gunpowder Works, signed an appropriate agreement on this subject in Taboshar last Saturday.
The enterprise will be engaged in production of brick and concrete paint as well as crack filler and some other consumer goods under Russian technology. “On February 27, a group of specialists from Toboni Sughd will go to Perm for experience sharing,” the source at the Tabohsar mayor’s office said.
The Zarya Vostoka Plant owns 51 percent of the shares and the Russian enterprise assumes the 49 percent ownership in the limited liability company Toboni Sughd.
