DUSHANBE, March 2, 2009, Asia-Plus  -- Tajik Ambassador to Russia, Abdulmajid Dostiyev, has been awarded Order of Peace, the head of the Moscow-based media holding Tajinfo, Muhammad Egamzod said.

According to him, the order was bestowed on Dostiyev on sidelines of the First International Festival, The World of Good, that was held in Moscow on February 28.  Recipients for this order are selected for their significant contributions in the area of peacekeeping and charity, Egamzod said.

“During the awarding ceremony, it was noted that the order is given to Dostiyev for his contributions to the cause of strengthening of friendship and mutual understanding between peoples,” the Tajinfo head said.
