DUSHANBE, March 3, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Defense Minister, Colonel-General Sherali Khairulloyev, yesterday met with Pakistani Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mr. Khalid Usman Kaisar.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Faridoun Mahmadaliyev, a spokesman to the ministry of defense (MoD), said the two had discussed a broad range of issues related to military-technical cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan, training of military personnel for the Tajik army, conducting joint drills, and exchanging information.
The sides also discussed expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in fighting international terrorism, extremism and separatism, the spokesman said.
