DUSHANBE, April 18, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Mr. Richard Boucher, Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, is arriving in Tajikistan for a two-day visit, according to the MFA information department.
On April 20, Mr. Boucher is scheduled to hold talks with President Emomali Rahmon and Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi. They sides will discuss state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the United States as well as issues related to regional cooperation.
On April 21, Mr. Boucher is expected to visit the Rasht Valley to get acquainted with process of implementation of projects sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
