KHUJAND, May 7, 2009, Asia-Plus -- More than 13,000 new jobs have been created in the Sughd province over the first four months of this year, the head of the Sughd directorate for employment, migration and social protection of the population Ubaidullo Rashidov said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, the new jobs have been created due to rehabilitation and expansion of production of a number of local enterprises. “712 new jobs have been created in the industrial sector, 4,456 in the agrarian sector, 842 in the construction sector, 459 in the transport and communications sector, 5,826 in the public catering sector and 407 new jobs have been created in some other sectors,” Rashidov said.
In all, 35,085 new jobs are expected to be created in the province this year.
