DUSHANBE, May 8, 2009, Asia-Plus  -- The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has extended a list of terrorist and extremist organizations banned in the territories of the Organization member nations.

According to press release issued by the CSTO Secretariat, such organizations as Boz Gurd (Grey Wolves), Taliban Movement, Al-Ikhvan Al-Muslimin (Muslim Brothers), Al-Qaida, Islamic Jihad –Jamaat Muhahedin, Jamaat of Central Asia Mujahedin, and Nurjular have been added to list of the banned terrorist ad extremist organizations bringing the total number put on this list to 29.

The first list of the banned extremist and terrorist organizations was created by the CSTO in 2004, press release said.

The Collective Security Treaty Organization now groups Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
