KHUJAND, May 13, 2009, Asia-Plus -- South Korean company, SR, intends to invest in construction of four 25-story apartment buildings in Khujand, the capital of the Sughd province, Khujand Mayor Sodiq Mirkholiqov said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, these buildings will place some 400 apartments. “The first stage of the project includes construction of two apartment buildings that will be finished in one year and two months,” the mayor said, noting that an area of one hectare had been allotted for construction of the mentioned apartment buildings.
“Construction of the first building will officially commence on June 27 this year and local residents will be involved in construction as support personnel,” Mirkholiqov said.
