DUSHANBE, May 20, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Tajik national air carrier, Tajik Air, has announced resumption of flights to Europe.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Nazira Davlatova, a spokeswoman for Tajik Air, said that Tajik Air would resume regular flight from Dushanbe to Munich next month. “Earlier, this flight had been operated through Istanbul while now it will be direct flight from Dushanbe to Munich,” she said, noting that at first the flight would be operated once a week, on Mondays.
We will recall that Tajik Air suspended flights to Munich in May 2007. That time, the Tajik Air officials justified the decision to suspend the flights by saying that Munich flights have been unprofitable and incurred considerable losses.
