DUSHANBE, June 3, 2009, Asia-Plus -- A national workshop formally tilted “Labor Market in Tajikistan: Performance and Challenges” was held at the Kokhi Vahdat State Complex in Dushanbe yesterday.
The workshop brought together senior representatives from President’s Executive Office, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Japanese Embassy in Dushanbe, the European Commission in Tajikistan, as well as the International Labor Organization (ILO) Headquarters, European Trading Foundation (ETF), European Education Foundation and some other international organizations active in the country to discuss ways to develop labor market in Tajikistan.
Besides, the ETF Labor Market Review and Migration Survey in Tajikistan Project the ILO Community Development through Employment Creation and Improved Migration Management in Tajikistan Project were presented during the workshop.
