DUSHANBE, June 26, 2009, Asia-Plus - Survey conducted at spot market in Dushanbe has shown that demand for some foreign currencies had decreased, according to the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT).
According to central bank’s press service, average exchange rates of the Russian ruble and the euro against the somoni in the currency exchange offices in Dushanbe decreased from 10:1.42 and 1:6.12 on June 24 to 10:1.41 and 1:6.05 on June 25 respectively.
In the meantime, the exchange rate of the dollar against the somoni in the currency exchange office remained the same fluctuating from 1:4.43 to 1:4.45.
Official exchange rates of the dollar, the euro and the Russian ruble set by the NBT for June 26 are 1:4.40, 1:6.21 and 10:1.40 respectively.
