DUSHANBE, July 1, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Representatives of foreign ministries of Tajikistan and Finland yesterday conducted political consultations in Dushanbe, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
The sides discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Finland, cooperation between the two countries within international organizations, including OSCE, as well within the framework of cooperation of Tajikistan with the European Union. They also discussed a number of regional and international issues being of mutual interest.
The Finnish delegation was led by Ms. Nina Vaskunlahti, Director General of the Department for Russia, East Europe and Central Asia, Finnish MFA, and the Tajik delegation was led by Mr. Khusrav Noziri, Director of the Department for Europe and Americas, the MFA information department said.
