KHUJAND, July 8, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Sughd law enforcement authorities have seized more than 220 kilograms of narcotics over the first six months of this year, according to the Sughd squad for combating drug trafficking (drug police).
A totaled included 91.542 kilograms of heroin, 119.816 kilograms of marijuana, 8.809 kilograms of raw opium and 38 grams of other types of narcotics.
93 criminal proceedings on drug charges have been instituted in Sughd province over the same six-month period, the source said.
