DUSHANBE, July 10, 2009, Asia-Plus -- The 9th grade students from Tajik-Turkish Lyceum in Dushanbe – Ehson Muhammad and Muhammad Firouz – have won silver medal of the International Mathematical Olympiad, Young Mathematician, which was held in Sarajevo, (Bosnia and Herzegovina) last week, Asia-Plus has learned from Shokirjon Gadoyev, director of the Republican Center for Talented Children.
“It is already the 28th medal won by Tajik students in 11 international Olympiads this year,” Gadoyev said, noting that the majority of medal winners are students at Tajik-Russian Gymnasium, Hotam-PB, Presidential Lyceum and Tajik-Turkish lyceums.
According to him, Tajik school students have six other invitations to participate in international Olympiads in Germany, Bulgaria, Mexico, Vietnam and Russia this year.
