KHUJAND, July 16, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Sughd province has so far transferred 2.2 million somoni (TJS) to the country’s stabilizing fund due to overfulfilling revenue part of its budget, Asia-Plus has learned from Anvar Mirzoyev, the head of the Sughd finance directorate.
According to him, money is transferred to the fund under finance minister’s order of February 17, 2009. “These funds are used for promoting development of economy, strengthening energy independence and ensuring food security,” Mirzoyev said.
He added that over the first half-year of 2009, the revenue part of Sughd’s budget has amounted to 182.2 million somoni, which is 10.2 percent more than it was originally planned and 46 million somoni more than in the same period of last year.
