DUSHANBE, July 20, 2009, Asia-Plus -- The Ministry of Education (MoE) last week received more than 1.88 million somoni (TJS) worth of technical equipment for all education departments and directorates across the country, Noilsho Nouraliyev, a spokesman for a MoE, told Asia-Plus on Monday.
According to him the equipment, purchased due funds allocated by the World Bank for improvement of information system in the field of education, was provided by the Catalytic Fund.
The assistance included two centralized servers, to which all regions are connected, 122 computers, 66 printers, 215 electricity regulators, 42 generators, 63 fax sets, 17 copy machines, 410 memory cards as well as a number of licensed computer programs.
The system is aimed at providing education departments and directorates in the provinces with new technology of collection of centralized information about activities of educational facilities, the spokesman said.
