DUSHANBE, July 22, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Officers from the transportation police have warded off an attempt of transportation of narcotic drug by plane to Moscow.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), female drug peddler was detained at the Dushanbe airport on July 20.
“Gulbibi Ibrohimova was detained during inspection of passengers on the flight Dushanbe-Moscow on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking,” said the source at a MoI, “The peddler had ingested four wraps of narcotic drug that was tested positive to heroin weighing 48 grams.”
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Ibrohimova under the provisions of Article 200, Part 3 (drug trafficking) of Tajikistan’s penal Code and an investigation is under way.
