DUSHANBE, August 13, 2009, Asia-Plus -- The fifth stage of inventory of legal foundation has been launched within the CIS area.
This issue was one of major topics of a meeting of the expert group that was held in Minsk, Belarus on August 11-12, according to the CIS Executive Committee.
During the meeting, the experts suggested that 47 decisions by the council of heads of state, 22 decisions by the council of heads of government and one international agreement should be terminated. Among them are decisions on sending observers to the CIS states, chairmanship in the CIS bodies, as well as the agreement on principles of customs policy of March 13, 1992.
The inventory of legal foundation within the CIS area began in 2000. The second stage was conducted in 2004, the third in 2006, and the fourth in 2008. The first fourth stages of the inventory of legal foundation have resulted in 493 of 1,850 documents having been terminated.
