KHUJAND, August 19, 2009, Asia-Plus -- 30,000 textbooks and methodological literature have been delivered to the Russian General Consulate in Khujand for distribution to schools in the Sughd province.
Russian General Consul Azim Yarakhmedov said in an interview with Asia-Plus that the textbooks had been provided in the framework of the Russian government’s program for providing assistance to fellow-countrymen living in the CIS states.
“The textbooks are being distributed to local Russian-language schools through Russian cultural centers located in the various cities and districts of the province,” Russian diplomat said.
