KHUJAND, August 28, 2009, Asia-Plus -- The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will finance construction of two greenhouses in Sughd’s Jabborrasulov districts.
The source at the Jabborrasulov district administration said that a total cost of the project is 30,000 U.S dollars. “The JICA representatives that arrived in the district yesterday noted that the greenhouses will be built in accordance with Chinese method (solar greenhouse that has the ability to store much more energy from the Sun),” the source said.
The JICA specialists also visited the half-finished dam of the Isfansay reservoir in the district. “Construction of the dam began in 1986 and was halted after the collapse of the Soviet Union,” said the source, “The Japanese side promised to consider the issue of completing construction of the dam.”
