DUSHANBE, September 8, 2009, Asia-Plus  -- A three-day meeting of the CIS working group for reviewing and coordinating draft documents on protection of secret information is opening in Minsk, Belarus today.

According to the CIS Executive Committee, the meeting, in particular, is considering the draft agreement on protection of secret information and the draft rules for use of secret information at the CIS bodies.  These documents have been worked out the Belarus Committee for National Security and the CIS Antiterrorist Center.

The agreement aims to provide security of surrendered/received documents as well as secrets having been formed in the course of cooperation between the state secret institutions of the CIS states and the draft rules stipulate requirements for authorized persons working with secret information, their rights and duties, access to secret information, as well as the rules of keeping and controlling safekeeping of secret documents, press release issued by the CIS Executive Committee said.
