DUSHANBE, September 16, 2009, Asia-Plus -- An international conference formally titled “Financing for Development of Aviation” will be held at Hyatt Regency Dushanbe Hotel in Dushanbe on September 17.
The conference organizers include open joint stock company (OJSC) Somon Capital, limited liability company Somon Air (private air carrier), state unitary enterprise Tajik Aluminum Company (Talco) and OJSC Orienbonk (commercial bank).
Press release issued by Somon Air says the conference is held with support from the government of Tajikistan, international organizations and financial institutions.
The conference that is expected to bring together representatives from relevant ministries and institutions of Tajikistan, international organizations and diplomatic missions active in the country as well as internationally known companies such as DILA Piper, Boeing Capital, Lufthansa Technik, THY Technic and some others is aiming to consider issues related to simplification of the system of financing of moving equipment as well as international guarantees and means of protection of interests of creditors of air facilities.
The conference participants are expected to discuss main aspects of the Cape Town Convention (the convention on international interests in mobile equipment), its significance for international deals such as financial leasing, advance sale with reservation of property rights. They will also consider tasks and mechanisms dedicated to reduce risks of creditors and lessors of aircraft, air engines and helicopters, press reels said.
