ISFARA, September 16, 2009, Asia-Plus -- The grain-harvesting campaign is nearing completion in Suhgd’s Isfara district.
According to the Isfara agriculture department head Hasanboy Ahmadzoda, local farmers have produced more than 6,000 tons of grains to this date.
“Average wheat yields have been 3.3 tons/ha, though farming units Mirsaid, Navobod and Chorkuh have reported harvests of 6.21, 5.5 and 5.21 tons per hectare respectively,” said Ahmadzoda, “Farming units Mukarramov, Dousti and Sultonov have reported harvests of more than 4 tons/ha each.”
