DUSHANBE, September 22, 2009, Asia-Plus -- On Saturday September 19, Finance Minister Safarali Najmiddinov met with visiting International Monetary Fund’s mission to Tajikistan, led by Mr. Axel Schimmelpfennig, according to the press service of the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
The sides discussed issues related to coordination of measures taken within the framework of the Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility (PRGF), tax and budgetary policy, as well as formation of the budget, macroeconomic and general policy and management of sustainable debt.
In the course of the talks, Tajik minister appreciated INF’s constant support for Tajikistan’s economy, especially during the global financial crisis, and underlined the importance of further expansion of bilateral cooperation, the press service said.
