DUSHANBE, September 26, 2009, Asia-Plus -- On Friday September 25, Ghaybullio Avzal, the governor of Tajikistan’s Khatlon province, and Arsen Avakov, the governor of Ukraine’s Kharkov region, signed a cooperation agreement on sidelines of an international business forum that was held in Kharkov on Friday, Ukrainian media reported.
The agreement provides for establishment of bilateral cooperation between the two regions in the fields of economics and science.
Among the major topics of the forum were subjects such as innovation and investments in economy of the Kharkov region. The forum participants included representatives from Russia, Belarus, Tajikistan, Poland, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Hungary, Norway, Canada and Vietnam. They also discussed ways to come out of the crisis that hit their countries.
