DUSHANBE, October 6, 2009, Asia-Plus -- The Communist Party (CPT) and its supporters have the right to organize events on occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic (Tajik SSR), Usmon Soleh, the head of the information and media department of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDPT), said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
“However, it should not be forgotten that Tajikistan is now independent country and the Independence Day is now the main national holiday,” said Soleh. “The founding of the Tajik SSR is one of landmarks of our history and we must remember this date.
