QURGHON TEPPA, October 9, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Open joint-stock company (OJSC) Southern Power Systems (Khatlon electricity-distributor) warns local enterprises with delinquent accounts of power supply cutoffs.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Asadullo Rahimov, the deputy director general of the Southern Power Systems, said that they had received an order from Barqi Tojik power holding to cut off power supplies to the most incorrigible nonpayers. “Electricity supplies will be cut off to all enterprises with arrears, except strategic sites,” Rahimov said.
According to him, the most incorrigible nonpayer in the province is the Khatlon water economy directorate. As of October 1, 2009, the Khatlon water economy directorate has owed 58.453 million somoni to the Southern Power Systems, Rahimov said.
