DUSHANBE, October 19, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Over the past several days, an average exchange rate of the dollar against the Tajik national currency, the somoni, has fallen in the currency exchange offices in Dushanbe from 1:4.42 to 1:4.38.
Exchange rates of the euro and the Russian rubble have changed inconsiderably and are now 1:6.46 and 10:1.47 respectively.
According to the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), an average exchange rate of the dollar against the somoni set by Tajik central bank for October 19 was 1:4.37. Average exchange rates set by the NBT for the euro and the Russian ruble for the same date are 1:6.53 and 10:1.49 respectively.
