DUSHANBE, October 30, 2009, Asia-Plus  -- Leadership of Tajik Institute of Economics yesterday met here with senior representatives of Ural State University of Economics (Russia) and Kharkov National University of Economics (Ukraine) to discuss issues related to establishment of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation.

The same day,  representatives of Ural State University of Economics and Kharkov National University of Economics met with teaching staff and students at Tajik Institute of Economics.  During the meeting, they noted that their universities were interested in establishment of scientific and educational ties and friendly relations with teachers and students from the Tajik university.

Kharkov National University of Economics (KNE) is the largest economic higher educational institution of the Eastern Ukraine; a state owned higher school of the IV-level accreditation and belongs to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.  KNUE provides a full range of educational services implementing multistage training, retraining and upgrading of specialists in 22 specialties in the following fields: economy and business; management; government; computer sciences; publishing business and printing industry; and tourism on three qualifying levels – bachelor, expert (qualification), master. 

Ural State University of Economics (UrSUE) was founded on October 10, 1967 as Sverdlovsk Institute of National Economy. Presently it is a large educational and research center in Russia, a basic economic higher learning establishment of the Ural region.  The University has trained more than 40,000 specialists for national economy various branches.  The University has 8 faculties: those of Economics, Finance, Management and Global Economics, Commerce, Engineering, a Specialized Faculty, which gives another higher education, a Faculty of Reduced Program and Extra-Mural Faculty.
