DUSHANBE, November 12, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Police in Dushanbe burned more than 770 kilograms of narcotics today, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
A totaled included more than 236 kilograms of heroin, more than 134 kilograms of raw opium, 398 kilograms of cannabis and some three kilogram of psychotropic substances.
The drugs were confiscated in the course of 2008-09 and were material evidence on 25 criminal proceedings instituted against 292 persons, including 10 women, the source said.
