KHUJAND, December 7, 2009, Asia-Plus   -- South Korean company, SR, is expected to start construction of a residential complex in Khujand, the capital of Sughd province early next year, Asia-Plus has learned at the Sughd regional administration.

We will recall that construction of the residential complex sponsored by Korean company was supposed to begin in November this year.

“However, the beginning of the construction work was postponed till the beginning of 2010; probably, this decision is connected with the global economic crisis ” the source said.  According to him, 12 containers with necessary equipment en route to Tajikistan.

SR intends to invest in construction of four 25-story apartment buildings in Khujand.  The first two apartment buildings are scheduled to be constructed in one year and two months after the construction work begins.
