KHUJAND, December 9, Asia-Plus -- 500.5 million U.S. dollars have been remitted to banks in the Sughd province in January-November 2009, which is 69.1 percent of the January-November 2008 level or 224.5 million U.S. dollars fewer, according to the branch of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) in Khujand.
Over the report period, US$86.4 million have been remitted to the region in the first quarter, US$125.3 million in the second quarter, US$182.1 million in the third quarter, US$58.7 million in October, and US$47.6 million in November, the source said.
